About The Position

Position Summary Career Readiness Learning Objectives – Communication : The student worker will clearly and effectively communicate with camp participants, University faculty and staff. Professionalism: The student worker will maintain a professional demeanor when interacting with camp participants. Equity and Inclusion : The successful candidate will work with and support a multicultural environment and will assist in creating an environment that is welcoming to all participants. Teamwork: The student worker will function as a member of a team with the faculty running the camp. The student worker will collaborate with the faculty members to deliver programming and to keep the University spaces utilized during the camp safe and clean. Candidate will assist Faculty in getting students registered for camp, escorting camp participants from one location to another, assist with setting up lunch for the campers, assist with all aspects of the camp as necessary and as outlined by Faculty running the camp.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be in good standing at the University and have no academic integrity issues.
  • Student must adhere to strict confidentiality policies.
  • Employment is contingent upon the candidate obtaining required Clearances to work with minors.
  • The Health Exploration Camp runs for two weeks in the summer: June 8-11 AND June 22-25.
  • Candidate must be available Monday -Thursday of camp weeks.
  • Times may vary per day/per camp.
  • This position is only for two weeks during the summer.
