Job SummaryThe Health Equity Field Specialist II (FSII) is responsible for supporting short and long term operational and L.A. Care’s Health Equity and Disparities Mitigation initiatives. This role coordinates and administers L.A. Care programs and initiatives aimed at addressing the needs of the members and the community with a focus on addressing and eliminating health disparities. As a field specialist, this role develops relationships/partnerships with community leaders and community-based organizations, serving as the Health Equity Department’s liaison with the community. This position engages in outreach to community-based organizations, spreading information about L.A. Care's community efforts, advocacy and engagement opportunities. This role is a valuable member of the department to improve health equity and reduce health disparities. The Health Equity Field Specialist II is responsible to actively guide, support and provide direction for Consumer Health Equity Council in alignment with Member Equity Council needs and the Health Equity Disparities Mitigation plan.
