About The Position
The Health Educator position is a full-time role based in Queens and Manhattan, New York. The educator will be responsible for providing patient education on disease prevention and health promotion in clinical settings. This role involves planning, developing, and implementing community health education activities, such as workshops and radio programs, and participating in community events to promote health practices and the services of CBWCHC. The educator will also connect patients and community members to resources and services, complete scheduling and registration for patients, and support the development of health education materials in various formats. Additionally, the role requires assessing educational needs, maintaining accurate records, conducting translation activities, and supporting the Health Education and Engagement team in special events and projects. Flexibility to work in both Manhattan and Queens, as well as weekends or nights as needed, is required.
