Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Health Educator II for the department of Medicine at the New Jersey Medical School. Under the direction of the Program Director for Education and Training, develops, implements, and evaluates educational programs and materials related to tuberculosis (TB) to meet the needs of health care professionals and those affected by TB. These programs may take the form of in-person or web-based training courses, lectures, symposia, preceptorships and educational materials including, guides, self-study manuals, etc. and should be consistent with the goals and objectives of CDC funded TB Centers of Excellence objectives, or with other national and international TB prevention and control projects. Undertakes various evaluation methods to determine their effectiveness and assists with the preparation of program applications to government and private funding sources. Overview New Jersey’s academic health center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences ( RBHS ) takes an integrated approach to educating students, providing clinical care, and conducting research, all with the goal of improving human health.
