The position involves assessing, designing, implementing, presenting, and evaluating health education programs and services. The role requires conducting needs assessments, establishing priorities, and coordinating a wide range of health education services. This includes establishing effective referral and publicity systems, monitoring quality and documentation, providing scheduling and logistical support, and facilitating the use of community services to promote the delivery of cost-effective health education services. The individual will provide direct group or one-on-one health education services to members and the public, review, develop, and recommend high-quality, culturally appropriate written and audio-visual health education materials, and consult with physicians and staff regarding related health education services. Additionally, the role involves coordinating health information projects such as program catalogs, newsletters, informational displays, and community health events, specializing in specific areas of health education as required, preparing reports, grants, proposals, and documentation, and participating in establishing department strategic goals and priorities. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
