About The Position

The Doula is a non-clinical professional who provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational support to birthing individuals and their families throughout pregnancy, labor, delivery, and the immediate postpartum period. This role collaborates with the healthcare team to promote a safe, supportive, and patient-centered birthing experience while respecting established medical practices and organizational policies. Provide continuous emotional and physical support to clients during labor and childbirth. Utilize comfort measures such as positioning, relaxation techniques, breathing support, massage, and reassurance. Assist clients and families in understanding birth preferences and provide support in communicating those preferences with the medical team. Deliver evidence-based information on pregnancy, labor, birth, and postpartum recovery to support informed decision-making. Facilitate a calm and supportive birthing environment in alignment with patient needs and wishes. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions in accordance with organizational standards. Adhere to confidentiality, ethical practices, and professional boundaries at all times. Qualifications Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required Certification as a Birth Doula. Doula from a recognized program required BLS certification
