Requirements

  • Agree with Cascade Christian Schools' Statement of Faith ?and? Teaching Statements ?
  • Be a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and action?
  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), master’s degree in nursing, preferred
  • School Nurse Certification (or eligibility)
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience, preferably in school health, pediatrics, public health, or community health
  • Strong knowledge of child and adolescent health issues
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to respond quickly to medical emergencies
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Work is primarily school-based, with regular travel between campuses
  • Clear background check
  • Possess a current CPR/First Aid certificate

Nice To Haves

  • master’s degree in nursing, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee district-wide health policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Ensure consistent, high-quality health services across all campuses
  • Serve as the district’s primary health consultant to school leadership
  • Oversee student health plans, including chronic conditions, medication administration, medical accommodations, and emergency response planning
  • Coordinate care with families, healthcare providers, and school staff
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to campus personnel
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal health regulations, including immunizations, communicable disease reporting, and medication standards
  • Monitor and respond to public health concerns and emergencies
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records in accordance with privacy laws (HIPAA, FERPA)
  • Complete required state reporting, including annual submission to the Washington State Immunization Information System
  • Supervise and support campus staff in implementing health procedures
  • Provide training in first aid, CPR/AED, allergy management, diabetes care, and emergency protocols
  • Partner with school leadership to promote student and staff wellness initiatives
  • Collaborate with counseling and student support teams on mental health and preventive care efforts
  • Serve as liaison to families, community healthcare providers, hospitals, and public health agencies
  • Participate in district committees and crisis response teams
