About The Position

Serve as the primary Public Information Officer for the Health Department. This position will develop, implement, and manage communication and marketing programs, projects and initiatives for various audiences, coordinate internal and external communications, and serve as the principle liaison between the department and key media and community stakeholders. The Toledo-Lucas County Health Department (TLCHD) is accredited by the Public Health Accreditation Board and serves as the local health authority for Lucas County. It operates as a regional health district, serving all cities, townships, and villages within the county. The department's responsibilities include preventing and controlling the spread of disease and injury, protecting against environmental hazards, promoting, and supporting healthy behaviors, and preparing for and responding to emergencies.
