About The Position

We are currently hiring for a Healthcare Technician II (HCT II) that will function as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) at Central Regional Hospital. The primary purpose of the HCT II/EMT is to transport patients and medical information to other healthcare facilities and internal clinics for service and treatment. All duties are delegated by, and under the supervision of a Licensed Registered Nurse.

Requirements

High school or General Educational Development diploma and one year of related work experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Special Condition for Continued Employment As required, listing as a Nurse Aide I by the North Carolina Division of Health Service Regulation.
As applicable, listing as a Nurse Aide II by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
As applicable, North Carolina Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification.
Valid Driver's License
NC Emergency Medical Technician Certification

Ability to independently plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
Ability to communicate information in a concise and descriptive manner, verbally, written, or by demonstration.
Ability to appropriately respond to emergency situations.

Benefits

A Sign-on bonus of $2,500.00 may be offered to the successful applicant of this posting, contingent on the 2025-2026 Budget Approval.
Premiums: Saturday and Sunday 5%, Holidays 50%
