These temporary positions will be assigned to DHHS DSOJF Walter B Jones ADATC. The HCT provides direct patient care by managing the milieu on the unit through close observation and interaction with the patients. The HCT provides support to the patients working toward the goals and objectives of their treatment. The HCT achieves a therapeutic milieu on the unit by fostering a therapeutic environment, assisting in activities of daily living, monitoring medical, emotional, behavioral or social problems and providing the information to the Registered Nurse. It is the responsibility of the HCT to transport patients to appointments outside the medical facility. This position also assists the Registered Nurse with initial intakes/interviews with patients. Work Schedule: 1st Shift: 6:45 am - 7:15 pm 2nd Shift: 6:45 pm - 7:15 am Positions may rotate between all three shifts to ensure adequate staffing to deliver quality patient care. Being part of WBJ Center Nursing Department includes the following guidelines related to the minimum staffing that must be maintained on each of the shifts. This involves being assigned a Red Dot designation. Effective July 1, 2025, candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they have the minimum education and experience listed from the class specification.
