About The Position
Cherry Hospital is currently seeking candidates for upcoming on-site CNA classes. If selected, you will be employed full-time and eligible for benefits. During the course, the work schedule will typically be Monday through Friday, daytime hours, 40 hours per week. Employees will participate in classroom instruction, in-service training, on-the-job training, job shadowing and clinicals. The state testing for CNA certification is included in the course at no charge to the employee. The Certified CNA will work as a Health Care Technician I (HCT I) and will be primarily responsible for providing direct care and person centered supports to residents with complex physical, intellectual, medical, and behavioral needs. Hospital units for assignments include the Geriatric Admissions Unit, Medical Psychiatric Unit, Adolescent Unit, Adult Acute Admissions Units, and Independent Transition Units. This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay over during adverse weather events.
