About The Position

Position Summary Conducts testing using molecular methods on wastewater samples to support the National Wastewater Surveillance System program for the Nebraska Public Health Laboratory ( NPHL ). Follow all safety and laboratory policies and procedures, maintain required documentation, maintain instrumentation and required resources, support laboratory training, support research testing as needed; and completes necessary documentation, results reporting, and educational support while communicating effectively with partnering agencies at the local, state and national levels. Works with NPHL leadership and staff in the coordination of state and national programs that are relevant to laboratory activities.
