This position is located in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Health Care Management III - Y15C Annual salary: $69,197.34 + Full state benefits Travel is EXTENSIVE - Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance Job Responsibilities: Under the general supervision of the Nursing Programs Administrator, this Registered Nurse serves as a Health Services Consultant Specialist, providing consultative services and medical safety assessments for children with special health care needs during open child welfare cases Provides clinical resources to child welfare staff through consultation, training, assessment, direction, and coaching. Identify and coordinate appropriate health care resources. Participate as a DHS/CW representative as needed. Comprehensively assess health care needs of the child including identification of family needs to develop plans and implement appropriate nursing interventions to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the child and family members. Educate children, families, communities, and child welfare staff about the principles of of disease prevention and health promotion. Assure quality health care through use of various measures such as record review, peer review, direct observation, survey, and assessment of children, family, and community for the desired outcomes. Collaborate with child welfare staff and medical community to maintain history and follow up care needs for children in care. Preference Statement Preference will be given to nurses with experience in mental health, home health, or those who have worked across multiple areas of nursing. Requirements
- Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required car insurance
- Requirements consist of possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and six (6) years of professional nursing experience, including three (3) years in a managed care or home health care program.
