Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Administration or related field.
  • Current Nursing Home Administrator Licensure in Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with professional standards of care that meet federal and state requirements.
  • Developing short-term objectives and long-range goals for the Healthcare Center working in conjunction with the Department Directors.
  • Controlling activities, costs, operations, and evaluation of progress towards stated goals and objectives.
  • Directing and motivating team members and co-workers toward achievement of objectives and goals.
  • Utilizing and teaching a leadership style which promotes collaboration, coaching, teamwork and commitment to Cross Keys Village's mission and philosophy.
  • Managing resident, family, visitor and other key stakeholder relations in accordance with community's mission, operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring care and services meet the satisfaction of residents, families, physicians etc. to minimize complaints, Licensure violations, and/or legal action.
  • Establishing, maintaining and monitoring grievance and/or complaint procedures.
  • Implementing a corrective action plan, as warranted.
  • Establishing a collaborative and engaging working environment among team members.
  • Responsible for team member relations, including recruitment, motivation and retention, discipline, evaluation, etc.
  • Reviewing and preparing job descriptions, policies, procedures, and work practices within the health care center.
  • Ensuring that medical records and other sources of health information are maintained according to regulations.
  • Managing, through Department Heads, the actions of Nursing, Rehab Services, Community Life, Social Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Beauty Shop and Admissions.
  • Overseeing proper utilization of health care facility resources.
  • Developing annual budgets for assigned areas with final accountability for personnel, supplies, and equipment.
  • Monitoring Case Mix Indexing and payment rate performance of the Medicare and Medical Assistance programs.
  • Approving purchase orders as needed.
  • Establishing policies and procedures pertaining to all aspects of resident care.
  • Implementing systems to ensure that all facility staff is knowledgeable of policies and procedures.
  • Periodically reviewing compliance with established policies and procedures by all team members.
  • Developing and initiating action plans when non-compliance is identified.
  • Working directly with the safety team to ensure a safe facility including resident, team member and visitor safety.
  • Responsible for oversight and implementation of CKV-TBHC's fire safety and disaster response plans.
  • Representing the organization in a positive, professional manner in dealing with outside agencies, stakeholders, governmental entities, regulatory bodies, and the general public.
  • Establishing and maintaining a liaison relationship with community hospitals and other health care facilities.
  • Ensuring all external regulatory reporting requirements are completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Immediately initiating abuse prohibition policies and procedures for allegations that meet abuse and neglect reporting standards.
  • Participating on various internal and external committees, as required and/or as directed.
  • Developing and implementing a budget for staffing and services; justifies any significant variances on a monthly basis.
  • Monitoring quality measures and reimbursement reports to ensure maximum outcomes.
  • Monitoring team member morale and addressing concerns in a timely manner.
  • Providing ongoing supervision to team members and encouraging continuing staff development.
  • Assisting the Human Resources Department in creating and maintaining accurate job descriptions.
  • Maintaining all health care programs to meet the standards of the CKV -TBHC Corporate Compliance program.
