About The Position

The Health & Benefits Operations Intern will support the Operations leadership team in advancing process improvement initiatives, strengthening business analytics, and helping design and implement new operational capabilities across the Health & Benefits practice. This role is ideal for a highly motivated student who enjoys solving problems, working with data, and applying technology to improve how work gets done. The intern will gain hands-on exposure to consulting operations, analytics, and automation while partnering closely with experienced operational and business leaders.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year college or university
  • Academic focus in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Strong analytical mindset with interest in operations, process improvement, and technology-enabled solutions
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (required)
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy
  • Ability to translate data and analysis into clear insights and recommendations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional curiosity and a desire to continuously improve how work is done

Nice To Haves

  • Business major with analytics or IT minor strongly preferred
  • Comfort working with or strong interest in: Power BI Power Automate Power Query Python Other analytics, automation, or low-code/no-code tools
  • Ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly

Responsibilities

  • Support process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives, including documentation, analysis, and redesign of workflows
  • Assist in the development of business analytics, dashboards, and reporting to support operational and strategic decision-making
  • Help design, test, and deploy new tools, automations, and capabilities that enhance scalability and consistency across the Health & Benefits practice
  • Work with large and complex datasets to analyze trends, identify insights, and support recommendations
  • Create executive-ready materials (presentations, summaries, visuals) for leadership review
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Operations, Analytics, Technology, and Consulting
  • Support ad hoc projects aligned with operational excellence, innovation, and transformation priorities
