About The Position

Aon is seeking a Health & Benefits Assistant Vice President (AVP) to be located in Seattle or Portland. Aon is dedicated to shaping decisions for the better to protect and enrich lives globally, fostering a united, inclusive, and diverse team. As an AVP, you will serve as the Lead Consultant on the Health Solutions client team, supporting the Account Executive and ensuring timely, accurate, and high-quality client deliverables. This role involves acting as the primary day-to-day client contact, overseeing the client team and project management, and collaborating with the Account Executive on strategy and special projects. Responsibilities include delegating assignments, peer reviewing work, performing analysis, drafting client presentations, participating in client meetings, and identifying client needs. Requirements

  • Eight plus years of experience in the group health and benefits industry with a strong working knowledge of benefits
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time
  • Strong analytical and presentation skills
  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of industry experience
  • Appropriate insurance license/life and health

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients
  • Oversee the client team and project management
  • Collaborate with the client Account Executive to facilitate execution of overall strategy plus special projects as needed
  • Delegate assignments to team members and peer review their work
  • Perform analysis
  • Draft client presentations
  • Participate in client meetings
  • Identify client needs for other services
  • Lead integrated efforts of internal Aon teams such as actuarial, audit, legal, and specialized broking teams
  • Foster the overall relationship with the client’s vendor partners
  • Leverage the right resources to resolve client issues
  • Mentor, coach, and guide junior staff
