About The Position

Pan-American Life Insurance Group (PALIG) is seeking a Health Benefits Advisor to provide customer care, sales, support, and promotes health education to customers. This position is on-site out of our Perth Amboy, New Jersey office. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Customer Services: Answering incoming customer calls regarding billing issues, general health insurance and other benefits related questions. Accurately update customer information in the customer service database during and after each call. Conducting outbound welcoming and courtesy calls to HolaDoctor members Assisting members sign-up and use of their member portal. Assisting or encouraging members to participate in health fairs, wellness programs and educational sessions. Assisting members with policy issues, Marketplace document requirements and payments Must be available to work in a flexible schedule including weekends as needed Sales: Selling Medical and ancillary plans to clients during open enrollment period Promoting HolaDoctor’s communication channels (Holadoctor.com, Facebook page, Newsletters etc.) Attend health fairs, wellness programs and events on behalf of the organization to promote services Policy Knowledge: Conducting activities to verify policy registration process. Assisting members to select a Primary Care Provider PCP. Assisting members to select specialists and in-network health care providers. Assisting members to sign up for preventive services covered by their plan. KEY REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent 2 (two) years of experience in customer service or related field Health License: 2-40 or 2-15 OR must attain license within 90 days of employment OTHER SUCCESS FACTORS: Bilingual in one of the following languages: English/Spanish, English/Hindi-Punjabi-Urdu, English/Korean, English/Mandarin preferred but not required. Ability to always remain professional and courteous with customers. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 (two) years of experience in customer service or related field
  • Health License: 2-40 or 2-15 OR must attain license within 90 days of employment
  • Must be available to work in a flexible schedule including weekends as needed
  • Ability to always remain professional and courteous with customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving skills
