About The Position

The Health Assistant On-call Substitute position is designed to provide support in health services and education within the district. Requirements

• Current first aid certification.
• Current CPR certification.
• Computer and clerical skills.
• Ability to work well with students, staff, and parents.
• Ability to attend work regularly and report on time.

Responsibilities

• Perform selected emergency procedures and student specific nursing tasks such as changing students and supporting personal hygiene needs.
• Assist the LSN/LPN in implementing professional school nursing roles.
• Administer medication to students as delegated by the LSN in accordance with district policies.
• Assist with planning and preparation of school health office functions, including vision/hearing screenings.
• Perform clerical tasks such as record keeping, computer input, and filing.
• Lift, carry, and physically manage students as necessary.
• Attend work regularly and report to work in a timely manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
