About The Position

As the Health and Wellness teacher, you will lead health and PE instruction focused on building students’ physical fitness, mental health, and overall well-being. The course emphasizes developing the knowledge and habits needed to make healthy, informed choices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required
• Valid state teaching certification or commitment to obtain
• Strong instructional skill and content knowledge
• Experience supporting students through co-teaching, accommodations, and targeted interventions
• Positive, collaborative, solution-oriented mindset
• At least two years of experience working with diverse student populations

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging health and PE instruction that builds students’ fitness and overall well-being.
• Monitor progress and adjust instruction to support engagement and growth.
• Maintain a structured, supportive environment with high expectations.
• Collaborate with staff and communicate with families about student progress.
• Participate in professional development and team collaboration.
• Teachers may also serve as CREW Leaders, co-leading a small group focused on SEL and community building twice per week.
