About The Position

HPC Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, in Billings, MT is looking for a Health and Safety Supervisor to work at a client facility. The Health and Safety Supervisor inspects work areas and equipment to ensure compliance with company, state and federal safety policies and regulations; Oversees ongoing work sites to ensure personnel comply with company and client safety requirement along with promoting a positive safety culture; Emergency response, and site remediation while working in all types of weather conditions. Transitioning Military, this is a great opportunity to leverage your skills and training as you return to civilian life.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of progressively responsible and related experience in an industrial setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of First Aid, Confined Space and Fall Protection, and DISA standards.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Must have a Federal Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC).
  • Strong knowledge of regulations.

  • Experience in the Environmental field.

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Conduct health and safety inspections, audits and interventions, investigate, oversee, and observe safety conditions and manage safety permits and required paperwork.
  • Manage employee safety training programs and coordination.
  • Perform JLA's (job loss analysis), JHA's (job hazard analysis) and manage safety equipment inspection, testing and supply.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on Clean Harbors specific processes and expectations.
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents and manage injury and accident follow-up and reporting.
  • Coach, manage and supervise teams to further enhance their safety responsibility and performance.
  • Establish relationships with client safety department.
  • Demonstrate proficiency at a wide variety of assignments and can direct personnel in operational procedures to complete assignments.
  • Inspect assigned work areas and equipment to identify compliance issues.
  • Document safety inspections, citing dangerous areas/procedures/practices.
  • Recommend corrective actions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
