About The Position

The Health and Safety Coordinator at Chandler Signs, LLC is responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations across the organization. This role involves conducting incident investigations, job hazard analyses, and training employees on environmental health and safety (EH&S) programs. The coordinator will also develop and implement safety policies, manage hazardous waste, and maintain EH&S records, fostering a culture of safety within the company.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional safety experience in the field as a Safety Professional.
• Basic math/statistical skills.
• Working knowledge of Federal/State Regulatory Requirements (OSHA, DOT, EPA).
• Working knowledge of chemical safety and hygiene.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent verbal, written communication and decision-making skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal communication and time management skills.

• Mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform incident investigations and assist in corrective actions.
• Conduct job hazard analysis and recommend preventative/corrective actions where EH&S hazards exist.
• Interact with all departments to assist with EH&S issues.
• Train employees on EH&S programs.
• Create and enforce a culture of safety within the organization.
• Develop and support implementation of various safety policies and programs.
• Handle confidential information and maintain EH&S records.
• Manage hazardous waste and coordinate disposal.
• Initiate and maintain pertinent permits for hazardous materials.
• Coordinate regular site safety visits to install and maintenance locations.
• Post safety policies and procedures to ensure safe work practices.
