HEALTH AIDE/CNA
About The Position
This position is per diem and will cover as needed in the department for vacations, leaves of absence, call-outs, evenings & weekends. We are seeking a compassionate, highly skilled, and patient-focused Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA). The ideal candidate will provide specialized dementia care techniques to reduce confusion, prevent wandering, and improve the quality of life for participants with Alzheimer’s or other related dementias. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, incontinence care, and feeding, provide safe mobility support and transfers using gait belts, wheelchairs, or mechanical lifts. Prepare nutritious meals, and perform light housekeeping to maintain a safe, clean environment.
Requirements
- CNA or HHA certification required
- At least 3 years of dedicated experience in a memory care setting or a skilled nursing facility.
- Patience, empathy, and ability to communicate effectively.
- Ability to handle heavy physical demands, including lifting, bending, stooping, and transferring clients
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and the ability to work independently.
