Boston Scientific will not offer sponsorship or take over sponsorship of an employment VISA for this position at this time We will consider qualified applicants of all ages who are starting (or restarting) their careers As a Health AI Project Manager Intern, you will support cross-divisional Health AI programs by helping translate clinical and business needs into well-defined plans, tracking execution across teams, and enabling effective governance and communication. You will work closely with AI Engineering, platform teams, data and AI governance stakeholders, and business units to help ensure initiatives are well-scoped, progress is visible, and deliverables are prepared for pilot, validation, and adoption.

Requirements

  • Must graduate between Fall 2026 – Spring 2027 (rising seniors) OR be enrolled in a graduate program with graduation no earlier than Spring 2027.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or Health Informatics.
  • Basic understanding of project or product management concepts (coursework, campus projects, or prior internship experience) and strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to commit to one of the following full internship program periods: May 18th – August 7th OR May 26th – August 14th.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization; and have reliable transportation to and from the Marlborough, MA Boston Scientific location.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams and synthesize inputs into clear plans and next steps.
  • Interest in digital health and AI/ML solutions; familiarity with clinical workflows, healthcare data interoperability, or standards (e.g., HL7/FHIR) is a plus.
  • Experience using common collaboration and delivery tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Confluence, Jira) through coursework or project work.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail; ability to support KPI tracking and basic data analysis (e.g., Excel, SQL, or Python exposure).

Responsibilities

  • Support Health AI program planning by maintaining project artifacts (charters, roadmaps, milestones, dependencies) and helping prepare weekly status updates for stakeholders.
  • Help coordinate agile delivery activities (backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos/retros) and keep work tracking tools (e.g., Jira) current with accurate priorities and progress.
  • Gather and document requirements with clinical, R&D, and operational partners; translate needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and release plans in collaboration with product and engineering mentors.
  • Assist with partner and vendor coordination by tracking action items, reviewing deliverables against milestones, and supporting onboarding steps with cross-functional teams (Legal, Privacy, Security).
  • Contribute to value measurement and Responsible AI governance by helping define KPIs, organizing evidence and documentation for phase gates, and supporting communications to leadership and governance councils.
