The Health Account Services Account Executive (Employee Benefits Sales | HSA/FSA/HRA | Remote – IL Based) drives revenue growth by selling consumer‑directed healthcare (CDH) solutions including Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs), Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs), and Commuter Benefits . This is a consultative, full-cycle sales role responsible for building pipeline, winning new business, and expanding an assigned book of clients through outbound prospecting and broker- and partner-led opportunities. Base salary: $70,000–$80,000 annually Additional incentive program: This position offers monthly incentives based on new and renewal sales, per the sales incentive plan.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years of outside/field sales experience.
  • Experience with independent prospecting, outbound sales activity, pipeline development, and execution of a self-directed sales plan.
  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding sales and revenue goals.
  • Strong cold-calling and outbound prospecting skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders across phone, email, virtual meetings, presentations, and in-person meetings.
  • Strong written communication skills, including professional spelling and grammar.
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, organization, and time management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 products and applications.
  • Ability to learn new systems and adjust to workflow or system changes.
  • Regular travel within the Bank’s market is required.
  • Occasional out-of-state travel may be required.
  • Typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with additional hours as needed.
  • Punctuality is required to support First American Bank’s service standards.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred.
  • Experience selling Employee Benefits, Benefits Consulting, or Asset Management solutions strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Health Savings Accounts (HSAs), Consumer-Directed Healthcare, and health insurance products preferred.
  • Knowledge of group and individual plans, managed care models, and the agent/broker distribution system preferred.
  • Knowledge of Section 125 and other tax-advantaged benefits concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a high-quality sales pipeline to meet or exceed annual sales goals.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts through disciplined planning and prioritization.
  • Balance new client acquisition with book of business growth within your assigned territory.
  • Sell consumer-directed healthcare and tax-advantaged benefit solutions using a consultative approach.
  • Identify client needs and position HSA, FSA, HRA, and Commuter Benefit solutions accordingly.
  • Prospect for new business through outbound activity and partner-driven opportunities.
  • Develop opportunities through brokers, health plans, and third-party partners.
  • Execute a data-informed sales strategy that supports both short- and long-term growth.
  • Support client retention and account expansion by maintaining strong relationships and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Partner with internal teams to support client satisfaction and successful solution adoption.
  • Collaborate with the Retail Banking network to strengthen local partnerships and uncover new opportunities.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including outreach, discovery, solution positioning, negotiation, and close.
  • Clearly communicate First American Bank’s value proposition in meetings, calls, written communication, and presentations.
  • Complete additional assignments and projects as requested by management.
