About The Position

Join an innovative ASME‑coded fabrication shop specializing in air-cooled heat exchangers and header assemblies. We lead the industry in producing high‑quality, pressurized vessels and heat transfer equipment, delivering excellence through skilled craftsmanship.

Requirements

  • Header welding on air-cooled heat exchanger headers or related ASME vessel packages
  • Passed welding test in either 3G MIG + 2G flux-core or 3G TIG + 2G flux-core
  • Proficient in MIG, TIG, and FCAW techniques
  • Code‑qualified (on site): at least two positions (1G, 2G, 3G, 6G)
  • Able to weld carbon steel, stainless, and optionally aluminum or chrome
  • Blueprint literacy & ASME Section IX understanding
  • Safety-first mindset and strong work ethic
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented
  • Dependable attendance and open to overtime (including every other Saturday)

Nice To Haves

  • AWS Certified Welder or ASME Section IX qualification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Fit-up and weld boxed headers for air‑cooled heat exchangers and ASME‑coded vessel packages.
  • Perform precise MIG, TIG, and flux‑core welding, including 3G MIG + 2G flux-core or 3G TIG + 2G flux-core test positions.
  • Interpret and follow blueprints, weld procedures, and ASME Section IX code standards.
  • Maintain weld quality with ≤5% repair rate on x-ray/ultrasonic inspections.
  • Use cutting tools (carbon arc, plasma), cranes, hoists, and grinders as needed.
  • Collaborate with QC to monitor fit-up and repairs, ensuring ASME compliance.
