The main purpose of this role is to provide support to the Manufacturing organization to facilitate efficient operations within the production area, optimize existing processes, and ensure that production goals are met. This includes monitoring the performance of equipment, machines, and tools, and correcting equipment problems or process parameters that produce non-conforming products, low yields, or product quality issues. The role also involves interfacing with Quality and Research and Development organizations to integrate new products or processes into the existing manufacturing area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (± 16 years) or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Master's Degree (± 18 years) preferred.
  • 2 to 5 years of experience within the Medical Device manufacturing industry is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in supporting header production efforts and teams.
  • Responsible for capital and expense projects, validation, automation, optimization.

Nice To Haves

  • Micro Injection Molding Experience & Process Development.
  • Laser & Resistance Weld Process Development Experience.
  • Plating Processes (e.g., Chrome, Anodized, Electroplating).
  • Mechanical Experience (e.g., Tooling, Fixtures, Automation Equipment Design).
  • General Understanding of Electrical Controls.
  • Blueprint Reading and Understanding of Dimensioning & Tolerancing Standards (ASME Y14.5, GD&T).
  • Proficiency in Process Validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), Statistical Analysis, and Root Cause Investigation Tools.
  • Experience with CAD Software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo/Pro-E, AutoCAD).
  • Experience with Documentation Software (e.g., Windchill).
  • Experience with EAM Software (e.g., Infor).

  • Initiates and completes technical activities that lead to new or improved products or processes for current programs and next-generation programs.
  • Prepares reports, publishes, and makes presentations to communicate findings.
  • Analyzes and solves problems from basic engineering principles to complex and advanced problems requiring innovative approaches.
  • Understands engineering principles, theories, concepts, practices, and techniques.
  • Develops knowledge in a field to become a recognized leader or authority in an area of specialization.
  • Incorporates business policies and procedures into task completion.
  • Understands the business needs of the company and customer needs.
  • Cultivates an internal and external network of resources to complete tasks.
  • Serves as a resource in the selection, orientation, and training of new engineers and employees.
  • May lead a project team, determining goals and objectives for the projects.
  • Mentors employees by sharing technical expertise and providing feedback and guidance.
  • Interacts cross-functionally and with internal and external customers.
  • Acts as a consultant for engineering or scientific interpretations and advice on significant matters.
  • Plans, organizes, and prioritizes own daily work routine to meet established schedule.

  • Base pay range: $60,000.00 – $120,000.00.
