Header Machine Operator
About The Position
General Statement of Responsibilities Performs general production duties in a J.I.T. manufacturing system, e.g. – Employee Involvement, Total Quality, Continuous Improvement, Housekeeping, Elimination of Waste, Communication, Coordination, etc. that meets production and customer requirements. Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Responsibilities
- Operates Heading and/or Boltmaking Equipment
- Operates measurement and test equipment required to ensure that quality requirements are met.
- Records statistical process control data.
- Housekeeping
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (e.g. addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Ability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and written instructions.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Set-up of machines.
- Cellular manufacturing requirements (such as sorting, packaging, etc.)
- Training other employees.
- Trouble-shooting on any operations.
- Operation of mobile equipment
- Performing machine repair.
- Minor periodic maintenance and lubrication
- Minor servicing of oil mist/smoke collectors
