About The Position

Hartford HealthCare Medical Group, Inc. ("HHCMG") seeks a full-time Headache Neurology Physicians in Norwich, CT with the following job duties: Leverage a comprehensive approach to diagnosing and treating patients suffering from head pain and headache disorders to minimize pain and optimize ability to function. Perform assessments of and manage and treat neurological conditions affecting patients with head pain and headache disorders; order and assess diagnostic patient symptoms studies; provide clinical management, including patient and family education and appropriate medical referrals; work as part of a multidisciplinary team and with other departments and divisions within and outside of Hartford Healthcare; participate in clinical research and quality improvement plans at the Ayer Institute and health-system level; participate in medical education programs for medical students, graduate students, advanced practitioners, and nurses; document encounters and bill direct patient contact with neurologic patients; and provide neurology consult services and weekend call coverage for patients proportionate to other similarly-situated physicians. Works at 1 Towne Park Plaza, Norwich, CT 06360.

Requirements

  • U.S. M.D. or D.O. degree or its foreign equivalent
  • Completion of a four-year residency in Neurology and at least a one-year fellowship in Headache and Facial Pain Medicine
  • Board eligibility or certification in Neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
  • Certification or eligibility for certification in Headache Medicine by the United Council for Neurologic Subspecialties
  • Possession of or eligibility for an unrestricted Connecticut Medical license.
