About The Position

Foundation Academy is seeking a visionary and dynamic individual to lead our football program as Head Varsity Football Coach. This full-time position involves the overall management and development of the football program, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and sportsmanship while integrating Christian values into coaching and leadership.

Requirements

• Be able to articulate a Christian testimony.
• Previous coaching experience or relevant experience working with students in a sports setting is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of football techniques, strategies, and rules.
• Skills in behavior management to effectively guide young athletes.
• Ability to educate and motivate students both on and off the field.
• Strong communication skills to interact effectively with players, parents, and other staff members.
• A commitment to promoting a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and personal growth.

Responsibilities

• Put Christ first in all aspects of the football program.
• Plan and conduct football practices, drills, and games to enhance players' skills and teamwork.
• Educate athletes on the rules of the game, strategies, and techniques to improve performance.
• Monitor and assess players' progress, providing constructive feedback to help them grow.
• Implement behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and respectful team environment.
• Collaborate with other coaching staff to develop training programs that cater to various skill levels.
• Organize and supervise team events, including games, tournaments, and community outreach activities.
• Ensure the safety of all participants during practices and games by adhering to safety protocols.
• Foster a love for sports by encouraging participation in additional activities.
