About The Position

The Lead Tennis Coach at Court 16 will be responsible for leading the coaching team, delivering high-quality tennis instruction, and fostering player development across all ages and skill levels. This role involves overseeing coaching practices, developing lesson plans, and ensuring a positive and engaging tennis experience for all members. The position is integral to the club's mission of redefining the tennis experience in the community.

Requirements

• 3-5 years coaching experience with all age groups and skill levels; leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of tennis techniques, tactics, and modern coaching methods.
• Proven ability to mentor and manage a coaching team.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with players, parents, and staff.
• USPTA or PTR certification preferred.
• Enthusiasm for tennis and fostering a positive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and consistent tennis lessons tailored to players of all ages and skill levels.
• Monitor and support coaches to ensure lessons align with technical manuals, pacing, energy, and safety standards.
• Work with the Director of Tennis to create technical and tactical goals and maintain balanced class dynamics.
• Develop and promote private group classes and set the standard for retail sales, including shoes, racquets, and apparel.
• Collaborate with the Director of Tennis to refine and enhance lesson plans for all levels and age groups.
• Train and mentor coaches, providing constructive feedback and input on promotions and bonuses.
• Design camp lesson plans and oversee their execution as manager, evaluating and ensuring quality.
• Guide clients on proper class placements and provide recommendations during membership renewals.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and mentoring new coaching talent to support the growth of the team.
