The Head Teller at Trustco Bank plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service while ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of customer transactions. This position is responsible for adhering to all operational and security policies and procedures, including compliance and privacy regulations, to maintain customer confidentiality. The Head Teller will assist customers with a variety of cash and non-cash related transactions, such as check cashing, processing deposits, and handling loan or credit card payments. Additionally, the role involves managing the cash vault and individual tills, completing required reports for audit purposes, and balancing the Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) daily. In this position, the Head Teller will ensure that the counter areas are organized and comply with bank policies. Regular audits of the vault and tills will be conducted, with any discrepancies reported immediately to the appropriate departments. The Head Teller will also be responsible for cross-selling the bank's products and services to promote branch growth and will continue to enhance their banking knowledge and sales techniques through ongoing training and education. This is a full-time position with scheduled work hours that align with branch operations, including some early arrivals and late departures. The Head Teller will occasionally be required to travel upon request, and must possess strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
