About the position
The Head Technician at Voda Cleaning & Restoration is responsible for overseeing and conducting carpet cleaning and water damage restoration services. This role involves technical expertise in restoration processes, team leadership, customer interaction, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. The technician will lead a team, manage schedules, and ensure high-quality service delivery while maintaining strong communication with clients.
Responsibilities
- Supervise water damage restoration processes, including water extraction, drying, dehumidification, and mold remediation.
- Troubleshoot and perform maintenance on cleaning and restoration equipment.
- Ensure all treatments and services comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and train junior technicians to ensure high-quality service.
- Manage scheduling and assign tasks to team members.
- Perform performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to staff.
- Interact with clients to assess their needs and explain services.
- Handle customer concerns or complaints professionally.
- Provide estimates and ensure services are completed as quoted.
- Monitor and manage inventory levels for cleaning agents and equipment.
- Ensure proper usage and storage of all equipment and chemicals.
- Inspect completed work to ensure it meets company quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of service orders and client information.
- Prepare and review invoices for accuracy.
- Ensure all technicians are trained on proper safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety audits of the team and work environment.
Requirements
- Experience in carpet cleaning techniques and water restoration.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train and manage a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer service.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues.
- Industry certifications such as IICRC may be required or beneficial.
- Physical stamina for lifting heavy equipment and working in challenging environments.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple jobs and administrative tasks.
