About The Position

The Head Strength & Conditioning coach will design, program, implement & monitor the strength and conditioning program for all intercollegiate teams. Under the supervision of the Head Athletic Trainer, the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach, is responsible for the development of sport-specific weight training regimens for all intercollegiate student athletes, including demonstrating proper weight training technique and prescribed exercises. Monitor and demonstrate safe lifting technique and practices. Track and evaluate individual and team attendance & performance with designed strength & conditioning programs. Collaborate with Athletic Training staff and coaches to develop strength & conditioning programs to strengthen overall performance and to prevent injuries. Assist the Athletic Training staff in monitoring rehabilitation programs. Requires a working knowledge of NCAA compliance rules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
  • CSCS Certification by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, or SCCC Certification by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association.
  • 1+ years years experience on the collegiate level.
  • Certified by CSCS or SCCC and Certified in CPR/AED/First Aid or the ability to obtain prior to employment.
  • Working knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in related field
  • 1+ years Experience coaching Olympic lifts.
  • Three or more years as Strength and Conditioning Coach
  • Knowledge of NCAA Division III legislation regarding permissible activities by student athletes.
