About The Position

The Head Stocker is responsible for leading stocking operations to ensure shelves are fully stocked, product is rotated correctly, and merchandising standards are consistently met. This role supports inventory accuracy, backroom organization, and team execution while providing day‑to‑day leadership to stocking associates.

Requirements

  • Previous grocery, stocking, or retail experience preferred
  • Prior lead or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong organizational and time‑management skills
  • Ability to work independently and direct others
  • Customer‑focused mindset with attention to detail
  • Ability to lift, move, and stock product within company weight guidelines
  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods
  • Flexible availability including early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily stocking activities to ensure timely and accurate replenishment of product
  • Ensure all product is stocked according to planograms, presentation standards, and shelf tags
  • Enforce proper product rotation using FIFO practices to maintain freshness and reduce shrink
  • Maintain clean, organized backroom and sales floor areas
  • Support ordering, receiving, and inventory control processes
  • Identify out‑of‑stocks, low inventory, and merchandising issues and communicate them to leadership
  • Assist customers by locating items and answering product‑related questions
  • Support store leadership with special projects, seasonal resets, and promotional execution
  • Provide direction and support to stockers during assigned shifts
  • Help train new stocking associates on procedures, safety, and productivity standards
  • Lead by example with strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
  • Reinforce expectations for efficiency, accuracy, and teamwork
  • Follow all company policies related to stocking, safety, and inventory practices
  • Ensure safe use of equipment such as pallet jacks, carts, and ladders
  • Support shrink reduction efforts through proper handling and storage of product

  • Associates in this position may be eligible for a quarterly bonus, subject to Company bonus plans.
  • For roles in Washington State: Sick pay and PTO/Vacation pay are accrued based on hours worked and paid holidays are issued at 7-9 days annually.
