MAHUBE-OTWA is actively recruiting an Early Head Start Teacher for the Frazee Business Center. Requirements

Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or equivalent coursework and experience in the early childhood field or a current Teaching License, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of early childhood development and ability to implement developmentally appropriate practice in an early childhood classroom is essential
Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and DHS licensing regulations and ability to operate center in accordance with standards
Ability to work positively and cooperatively with children, families, and staff as well as internal and external partners
Effectively manage typical and spontaneous classroom situations
Ability to handle emergency situations with young children and families
Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
Basic computer skills including working with e-mail, internet, data entry, computer files and data bases
Honor private/confidential information
Valid drivers’ license
First Aid/CPR required
Qualify to work with young children through DHS NetStudy clearance

Responsibilities

Implement curriculum that provides an inclusive learning environment allowing for children’s development based on individual need
Provide a daily routine and prepare a weekly lesson plan ensuring all required elements are incorporated
