About The Position

The Head Start Program Specialist position is a critical role within the Department of Health and Human Services, specifically in the Administration for Children and Families, Office of Head Start. This position involves optimizing business results and enhancing customer experience through oversight and analysis of Head Start programs. The specialist will represent the organization in various meetings, process grant applications, and ensure compliance with federal regulations while assessing program performance.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Possess a degree in behavioral or social science or related disciplines appropriate to the position, or a combination of education and experience equivalent to a major in the field, or four years of appropriate experience.
• At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level in the Federal service, performing duties related to early learning program operations, data analysis, and providing guidance on Head Start regulations.
