About The Position

Eastern Idaho Community Action Partnership (EICAP) is seeking a Head Start/Early Head Start Substitute who can assist in the classroom or kitchen as needed. You'll fill in where needed at various locations in Idaho Falls Rexburg, or Blackfoot. As a substitute you will have the opportunity to work with children in a supportive team environment where your contributions will be valued and appreciated. As a Head Start Substitute, you will be responsible for providing a safe and nurturing learning environment for young children. You will assist in the classroom or kitchen and work closely with the lead teacher or kitchen staff to support the daily operations of the program. We are looking for someone who is flexible, adaptable, and has a positive attitude towards children and families. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team. You should have excellent communication and organization skills, as well as a basic understanding of child development.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Recent experience with children and childcare is required.
  • Must complete a physical exam.
  • Valid Driver's License and proof of liability insurance for personal vehicle.
  • The ability to become CPR and First Aid certified through EICAP's training program.
  • Must be able to pass an Intellicorp SSN Verification/Criminal History Search and Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Enhanced Background Check.
  • We also conduct pre-employment drug testing.
  • Any job offer will be based on the results of background check and drug testing.
