About The Position

Head Start Preschool Center Aide Do you love working with young children? Do you want to make a difference in their lives by providing a nurturing and educational environment? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you! We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Head Start Preschool Center Aide to join our team at our Idaho Falls West location. As a Center Aide, you will assist the lead teacher in providing a fun and engaging learning experience for young learners in classrooms birth to age three and age three to five.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or Equivalency Degree (GED) and The ability to obtain the Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential with EICAP's guidance within 12 months of hire (EICAP covers all costs)
  • The ability to become CPR and First Aid certified through EICAP's training program (EICAP covers all costs)
  • Must be able to pass an Intellicorp SSN Verification/Criminal History Search and Idaho Department of Health and Welfare Enhanced Background Check.
  • We also conduct pre-employment drug testing.
  • Any job offer will be based on the results of background check and drug testing.

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred experience working with children 0 – 5 years.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the lead teacher to plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum and activities.
  • Provide a safe and nurturing environment for the children.
  • Prepare materials and set up learning centers.
  • Engage children in educational play and other activities.
  • Assist with mealtimes and promote healthy eating habits
  • Help out in kitchen as needed
  • Keep the classroom clean, organized and attractive.
  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and other professional development activities
