Head Start Lead Teacher $5,000 sign-on bonus Do you have a passion to make a difference and positively impact young children and their families? At YCCAC Head Start, we are more than a daycare. We are committed to providing high-quality child care and comprehensive education, health and well-being services to children from 6 weeks to 5 years. We are now hiring a Lead Teacher to join us in our mission of creating a warm and supportive environment where children and families can thrive. What we offer: $5,000 sign-on bonus payable in four installments ($1000 after completion of months 3, 6, 9 & $2000 after 1 year – external applicants only). Paid time off, personal day and holidays. School year schedule including school breaks. Breakfast and lunch (served in the classroom as part of our family style meals). Career growth and professional development opportunities with financial funding. Your role: Partnering with families to develop child focused goals that meet individual needs. Planning, implementing and documenting a comprehensive child development program suitable for preschoolers. Building positive and supportive relationships with children and families. Coordinating the daily operations of the classroom while supervising the activities of 1 or more staff members.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood (Bachelor’s Degree preferred).
  • Experience working with children in a center-based setting; prior experience working with families and supervising others preferred.
  • Willing to work flexible hours to meet families’ needs.
  • Immunized against MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) and TDaP (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis).
  • Must be able to pass a background check, to include DHHS and fingerprinting.
