The Head Start Classroom Assistant will support the classroom teachers in classroom duties, implementing curriculum, development of lesson plans, administering screenings, conducting observations, supervising children, and teaching developmentally appropriate practices, attend training sessions and maintaining compliance with Head Start Performance standards including education, disabilities, parent involvement, nutrition, health and mental health. A range of individualized services in the areas of education, early childhood development, medical, dental, mental health, nutrition, family support, and parent education. SCHEDULE: This position is part-time and non-benefited scheduled to work approximately 20-25 hours per week. COMPENSATION: Hiring Range: $17.00 – $20.00 USD Hourly Compensation will be determined based on education, experience, and skills. If a candidate does not meet Colorado State Childcare licensing requirements, then a candidate must be enrolled in a Child Development Associate credential or Early Childhood Education program. Staff that are fluent in a language other than English may be eligible for additional compensation of $1,500 annually for use of bi-lingual skills. BENEFITS: Please note that this is a temporary, non-benefit position. There is no holiday pay. Employees are able to earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours.
