NAME OF POSITION: Head Start and/or Early Head Start Classroom Substitute Location: Hackettstown, NJ Hours- as needed, not to exceed 8 hours a day $17.28-$19.59 Job Overview We are a fast-paced and high-demand, non-profit program that depends on everybody in every position to help our centers function with ease. You will gain diverse experience working with an at-risk population.
Requirements
- Minimum Education Level: High school diploma working towards CDA to be completed within two years of hire.
- Experience working with young children.
- Personal characteristics: compassionate, organized, flexible, communicator, team-player
- Physical abilities : Lift 30 pounds
Nice To Haves
- Preferred Education Level: Child Development Associate (CDA)- Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field.
- Preferred Experience: 2 years' experience in early childhood education and direct experience with at-risk population, Head Start experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist classroom staff in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff.
- Support classroom activities and lesson implementation.
- Promote positive child interactions and development.
- Assist with daily routines and caregiving tasks.
