About The Position

The Head Soccer Coach is responsible for overseeing the soccer program at Rowan-Salisbury Schools, ensuring the development of student athletes both on and off the field. This part-time position requires strong leadership skills, the ability to mentor athletes, and a commitment to promoting good sportsmanship and mental health. The coach will work closely with the head coach, athletic director, and school principal to implement athletic policies and maintain a positive community image through successful program management.

Requirements

• Previous successful coaching experience in soccer or a related sport.
• Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of soccer.
• Ability to organize and supervise a sports program effectively.
• Strong leadership and mentoring skills.

• Knowledge of current trends and theories in coaching soccer.

Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise the total sports program for soccer.
• Implement athletic policies approved by the Rowan Salisbury Schools Board of Education.
• Train and inform coaching staff, encouraging professional growth.
• Delegate specific duties to assistant coaches and evaluate their effectiveness at season's end.
• Maintain discipline among athletes and work to increase morale and cooperation.
• Serve as a mentor to student athletes, promoting character development.
• Monitor student athletes' grades and conduct, providing guidance and support.
• Accountable for the maintenance and protection of assigned equipment and facilities.
• Promote the soccer program within the school and community.
