About The Position
Head Pre-K Teacher – Strong Start Early Care & Education (Shelton, CT) Are you passionate about working with young children and ready to take the next step in your teaching career? Shelton Strong Start Early Care & Education is looking for experienced Head Pre-K Teachers to join our NAEYC-accredited program. At Strong Start, we focus on creating a supportive, team-oriented environment where teachers can do their best work. You’ll be part of a collaborative staff, working in a clean, well-equipped classroom with the tools and support you need to succeed.
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field)
- Minimum of 30 ECE credits
- At least 3 years of childcare teaching experience
Nice To Haves
- Prior head teacher or leadership experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement an engaging curriculum aligned with CT Early Learning Standards
- Lead and mentor Assistant Teachers
- Foster strong relationships with families through daily communication and conferences
- Ensure compliance with all state regulations and NAEYC standards
- Maintain a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment
- Participate in ongoing professional development
