About The Position

Belfair Property Owner's Association is seeking a Head Pickleball Professional to assist our Director of Court Sports in leading our growing Pickleball program. With the sport's rapid rise in popularity, we are looking for a dynamic professional who will create meaningful experiences and relationships with our members through lessons, events, and engaging programs. This is a wonderful opportunity to work in a beautiful Lowcountry setting alongside a dedicated and passionate team.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A.A.) and four to six years of related experience as a Head Pickleball Professional or Instructor, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Pickleball Teaching Certification.

Nice To Haves

  • DUPR rating of 4.5 or higher preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all pickleball play, including proper collection of fees and rental of equipment.
  • Develop, promote, and direct pickleball clinics, leagues, and special events to enhance member participation.
  • Provide private and group instruction for all skill levels, from beginner through advanced.
  • Develop and implement lesson programs for adults and juniors.
  • Enforce all club rules and regulations governing the use of courts, equipment, and facilities.
  • Represent the Club in state or national events when time allows.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to create and promote combined member programs.
  • Inspect courts and facilities daily to ensure proper maintenance, safety, and playability, report maintenance needs to the Director of Court Sports.
  • Monitor court usage, including lessons, clinics, and special events, to ensure effective scheduling.
  • Hire, train, and supervise pickleball teaching professionals and support staff.
  • Provide orientation, ongoing training, and performance feedback for all pickleball staff.
  • Manage staffing, productivity, and departmental expenses based on business volume and seasonal demand.
  • Ensure the highest level of member and guest satisfaction through excellent service delivery.
  • Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
  • Establish and grow a Junior Pickleball Program.
  • Coordinate with local pickleball clubs and communities to promote play during off-peak times.
