About The Position

We are seeking a Head of Video Production to own and lead our entire video department—from vision and strategy to execution and delivery. This role is both creative and operational, requiring a strong leader who can develop people, anticipate needs weeks/months in advance, and consistently deliver high-quality video at scale. This is not a “hands-only” production role. While hands-on experience is critical, your primary responsibility is building, leading, and elevating the video team, setting clear standards, and ensuring video supports company-wide objectives across Marketing, Sales, Events, and Leadership.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading a video production team or department.
  • Strong background in video production, editing, and live production.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • High standards for quality, organization, and accountability.
  • Strategic thinker who can see around corners while executing in the present.

Nice To Haves

  • Confident decision-maker with strong creative judgment.
  • Organized, proactive, and systems-oriented.
  • Comfortable leading people—not just projects.
  • Thrives in an environment where speed, clarity, and ownership matter.
  • Can balance creative excellence with business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Own the overall video vision, strategy, and output for the organization.
  • Translate business objectives, campaigns, and offers into a clear video roadmap.
  • Plan 8–12 weeks ahead using the annual event and campaign calendar, while remaining adaptable to last-minute priorities.
  • Lead, manage, and develop the video production team, including producers, editors, shooters, and freelancers.
  • Set clear expectations, workflows, and performance standards.
  • Coach team members to improve speed, creative judgment, and execution quality.
  • Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee all phases of video production: concept development, scripting, filming, editing, review, and distribution.
  • Direct live productions, webinars, and event recordings as needed.
  • Ensure all video assets are delivered on time, on brand, and ready for use.
  • Establish and enforce video standards, guidelines, and best practices across all content.
  • Own the video asset inventory—organization, labeling, storage, and accessibility.
  • Maintain consistent quality, messaging, and brand voice across all video output.
  • Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Events, and Leadership to align video with campaigns, launches, and business goals.
  • Ensure messaging consistency across offers, promotions, and initiatives.
  • Act as the primary decision-maker for video-related creative direction.
  • Own production schedules, workflows, and deadlines.
  • Continuously optimize systems and processes to increase output without sacrificing quality.
  • Balance speed with efficiency—shortening revision cycles and eliminating bottlenecks.
  • Identify tools, systems, or process improvements that help the team move faster and smarter.
