This strategic leader will set technology direction and lead delivery for global clinical research data acquisition, clinical operations, planning, execution and R&D Quality (RDQ). Reporting into senior JJT leadership, you will partner closely with Global Development, Project Management, regulatory/security teams and business stakeholders to scale product development, improve real‑time observability, and accelerate data‑driven decision making across clinical programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Computer Science, IT, Informatics, or related). Advanced degree and/or professional technology certification preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical/biotech technology OR Master’s + 8 years OR PhD + 5 years of relevant R&D technology systems experience.
  • Deep knowledge of R&D/clinical operations, clinical trial design and execution, statistical methods and trends in clinical data analysis.
  • Proven experience driving innovation using digital technology and data science in scientific/clinical settings.
  • Strong design and architecture expertise; experience with agile methods, microservices, and composable architectures.
  • Demonstrated success leading product management and matrixed engineering organizations in a complex, global environment.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills across global stakeholders.
  • Experience managing global priorities across multiple business areas and developing cross‑disciplinary teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior work with clinical data standards, EDC, eCOA, CTMS, CDISC, real‑world data platforms, or observability tooling.
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms and modern data engineering (streaming, event-driven pipelines).
  • Familiarity with regulatory implications of software as a medical device and global data privacy regimes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead technology strategy, product roadmaps, delivery and governance for solutions supporting clinical trial data acquisition and operations on a global scale.
  • Manage and develop a global team of product and technical leaders (direct and matrixed) responsible for platform, integration, and reporting solutions.
  • Drive modernization: composable / microservices architectures, API strategy, cloud-native design, observability and real-time data pipelines.
  • Partner with business and clinical leaders to translate scientific and operational needs into technical solutions that improve trial efficiency, quality, and insight delivery.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory, security, and local data privacy requirements while enabling collaborative development and scaling of capabilities.
  • Oversee product management practices, prioritization, release planning, and lifecycle management in a matrix organization.
  • Champion agile delivery, process engineering, and design/architecture best practices across teams.
  • Represent technology with senior stakeholders and influence cross-functional strategy, budgets, and roadmaps.
