Head of Talent Location: Santa Clara, CA (Hybrid - 3 days in office) Reports to: VP of HR Power the Talent Engine Unleashing the Future of AI Inference As we enter 2026, the AI industry has reached a defining inflection point. Nvidia’s recent $20B acquisition of Groq sent a clear signal to the market: AI inference, not just training, is now the strategic battleground for the next decade of computing. At d-Matrix, we are building the hardware and systems that make large-scale, energy-efficient AI inference possible. Our work sits at the intersection of silicon, systems, and software, and our ambition is to become a world-class AI inference systems company. To reach that goal, we are seeking a Head of Talent who can build the hiring engine behind it. The Opportunity This is not a traditional recruiting leadership role. As Head of Talent, you will evolve and scale d-Matrix’s global hiring engine, supporting our growth from a mid-stage startup into an enduring, category-defining company. This role is about architecting talent infrastructure, not simply filling requisitions. You will own the strategy, systems, and teams responsible for attracting, assessing, and closing exceptional talent across engineering, product, operations, and go-to-market functions. You’ll partner closely with the executive team to ensure that every hire strengthens our culture, deepens our technical advantage, and accelerates execution. This is a highly strategic and operational leadership role, ideal for a hands-on builder who can move seamlessly between executive-level strategy, organizational design, and ground-level recruiting execution.
