About The Position

By joining Chubb's North America Technology team, you will be at the forefront of digital enablement for the world's largest publicly traded P&C insurer. Reporting into the CTO for North America, you will lead and build a team responsible for the ongoing digitization and transformation of our Commercial lines of business, working directly with the Commercial heads of business and its CIO. As GenAI accelerates and disrupts technology delivery you will combine your past experiences applying technology to business problems with your keen understanding of cutting-edge technology to craft practical yet strategic technology solutions and execution plans. In this role, you will: Lead a team of senior technology architects and engineers to deliver implementable technology designs Work with the CIO of Commercial Insurance to jointly produce technology roadmaps while identifying the resources needed to execute them Work alongside engineering leaders to ensure solutions are built-as-designed and conforming to best practices Evolve our engineering automation capabilities and ensure their implementation including both traditional automation tools as well as GenAI-assisted capabilities Work to understand the intricacies of our existing technology footprint (i.e. the "brownfield") to ensure that strategic solutions are incrementally executable with progressive realization of benefit and minimal business disruption Dive into the details as needed to remove blockers and demonstrate the right ways of working Be an exemplar for a people and technology leader Instinctively stay abreast of modern technology trends

Requirements

• At least 15 years of experience in software development and/or application architecture
• At least 5 years in a leadership position managing others and reporting status to senior executives
• At least 5 years of system integration and/or data integration experience
• At least 3 years of experience in API design and/or data/object modeling
• Previous experience with hands-on coding in a modern programming language (e.g. Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, C/C++, etc.), either for proofs-of-concept or production delivery
• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in a technical or related discipline required
