About The Position

Brillient Corporation is seeking an experienced, AI‑native Senior Manager of Software Product Development to lead our software engineering team in building scalable, secure, and innovative SaaS product solutions. This role requires a leader who is willing to roll up their sleeves and work alongside the team. You should demonstrate current, hands‑on leadership engaging in activities such as ticket refinement, scrums, metrics reviews, and code reviews while also providing strategic direction on product vision, technology choices, and architecture. The ideal candidate is a servant leader with deep technical expertise in developing high‑performing AI‑based solutions, who promotes accountability while fostering creativity, and who enjoys supporting the hands-on development process across the entire AI‑based product lifecycle. This position will follow a hybrid schedule.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• US Citizenship required – must be able to obtain a security clearance.
• Minimum 8 -10 years of hands‑on software development experience, including substantial time actively building and delivering systems.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams in fast‑paced, product‑driven environments, balancing rapid iteration with architectural rigor.
• Proven ability to build and scale solutions while maintaining strong technical hygiene across both new feature development and sustainment work.
• Deep expertise in cloud‑native architecture (AWS and/or GCP), microservices, and API‑first design, with direct implementation experience.
• Strong background integrating AI/ML capabilities into products, including the practical use of AI‑enabled tools across requirements, design, coding, testing, CI/CD, and maintenance.
• Demonstrated experience as a working architect or principal engineer, with clear current evidence of technical depth through code reviews, architectural authorship, or direct platform ownership.

Nice To Haves

• Experience leading a product or platform through FedRAMP, StateRAMP, or similar federal/state compliance processes.
• Experience designing multi-tenant systems, subscription-based systems and/ or consumption-based systems.

Responsibilities

• Leadership & Strategy: Collaborate with company leaders, Product Management, and other stakeholders to define and execute the product and software development strategy aligned with business goals. Lead and mentor engineering managers and senior developers to foster a culture of innovation and excellence.
• Product Development: Oversee and directly participate in the design, development, and deployment of product applications with a focus on scalability, reliability, and security employing the latest in agentic AI enablement. Communicate with stakeholders to deliver high-quality features on time while maintaining existing application functionality and performance.
• Technical Oversight: Ensure adherence to best practices in architecture, coding standards, and DevOps all in a next generation AI native lifecycle. Drive adoption of modern technologies, frameworks, and cloud-native solutions by achieving buy-in among stakeholders.
• Operational Excellence: Implement KPIs and metrics to measure team performance and product quality. Manage budgets, resource allocation, and relationships.
