About the position

The Head of Sales for the VMS Co-Op + Welly at Unilever is responsible for leading all retail sales efforts across multiple health and wellness brands. This role involves strategic planning, execution, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure profitable growth and effective sales strategies. The position requires strong leadership skills to inspire and develop a high-performing sales team while maintaining relationships with key retail partners.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all field Sales efforts including Sales Strategy and Category Management.
  • Build strong relationships with customers and partners at all management levels.
  • Ensure annual planning and execution across each Operating Company is profitable and on-strategy.
  • Adhere to pricing and financial guidelines for all channels.
  • Collaborate with CEOs and senior leadership to implement strategic plans.
  • Preserve the unique positioning of Operating Companies to drive growth.
  • Drive strategic planning and execution of annual joint business plans at all accounts.
  • Lead the Sales Leadership Team in collaboration with Operating Companies and customers.
  • Direct Sales Team in developing and tracking Sales Objectives and Key Results.
  • Ensure annual operating plans and OKR deliverables are met.
  • Recruit, develop, and inspire Sales Team members.

Requirements

  • 20-25 years of experience in CPG Sales with a proven track record of success with top tier retailers.
  • Experience selling within the Vitamin and Supplement space is preferred.
  • Proven success in sales planning, customer development, category management, and trade planning.
  • Inclusive leader with the ability to build and inspire a high-performing sales team.
  • Expertise in relationship retail and consultative sales approach.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and innovative sensibility.
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally and build company capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Solid negotiation skills with retail partners.
